It's finally my birthday :D
Even though it doesn't feel like a big special day like it did when I was younger, it's still exciting for me.
I got my my beautiful new paradiso gioco and i'm in love with it ^_^
I also got a much needed hard make-up case.
I've had a soft zip-up case for a while and I just felt so unorganized with it.
So, now that I have my new bag, i can give my L'amore zucca a much needed rest for awhile :)
So, this year for my birthday I'm getting a new Tokidoki purse.
I really REALLY wanted to get one of the Hello Kitty X Tokidoki boston bags, but my birthday was too far away when they first came out and i missed the chance to snag one at an un-insane price. The bag retails at $125 but because it's so rare now you can't find one on eBay for less than $350. Crazy huh?
But anyway, I had a limit of $250 for a bag and my search began.
Because Tokidoki for Lesportsac bags aren't being made anymore, they are pretty hard to get now and marked up way over retail.
It makes me wish I had bought all the bags I wanted when I actually had a job -_-
I had wanted to get a new zucca since my L'amore Zucca is my favorite bag ever and it's time to retire it.
Sadly, the selection of zuccas left on ebay is super limited and way over priced.
Seriously, they retailed for $184 and now they are over $250.
The least expensive bags listed are the tuttis, trasportos, and some vacanze. I honestly wasn't going to be completely happy with any of those, even though I probably could have gotten a good deal.
After much debate, thought, and a long period of feeling guilty for the price, I found the bag I wanted.
I bought a NWT Paradiso Gioco for $250 ( almost $100 over retail price).
The price is crazy, but the bag is beautiful.
I've always wanted something in the Paradiso print and i figured now was the time to get one since who knows how much longer people will be listing them on eBay. The price will only go up higher as time goes by.
I used to hate the gioco style, but the more I looked at it the more it appealed to me.
If i'm paying all that money for a purse, i want something a little more 'stand out' than a tote bag like a Buon Viaggio or a Mamma Mia. ( No offense to BV and MM lovers ^-^)
I'm super excited to get it.
Seriously, i feel like I'm going to cry when I see it.
Tokidoki makes me so happy :D
I had some coupons to use up so I decided to pick up these few things while I was out at the store yesterday.
I snagged 2 MaxFactor MAXeye shadows in Cocoa Crazy and Vintage Vixen (they were buy one get one free), Rimmel Extra Super Lash mascara, and Rimmels eye-makeup remover.
I've heard a lot of mixed reviews for this one and from what I had heard, you either loved it or hated it. I'm one of those people that love it. It does a really good job of separating my lashes and coating them evenly. There wasn't any clumping or flaking, so I'm happy with it.
I've been needing some of this forever! I've been making due with just my ponds face cream and some cosmetic wipes from EDM. Needless to say, they don't work so well when trying to remove mascara and such. This remover is very gentle, just like the bottle claims. It didn't irritate my eyes at all and removed everything with just a few swipes. I recommend it :)
Sunday I ended up going to Mason Dixon Raceway in Hagerstown, MD with my brother and some friends.
They have a drag strip and my cousin was riding his quad in the races, so we went up to watch.
I've actually never been to a drag strip or anything like it, so it was a new experience for me.
It was super loud!!! And, I ended up with a t-shirt tan -_-
But I have to admit, it was pretty cool hanging out with everybody and watching someone you know race.
Last week I happened to go to Kohl's to look for some dresses and ended up with three.
I must say, they have a pretty nice selection of summer dresses, so go check it out if you haven't already.
Also, Macy's has a good selection up so far.
But anyway...
This one was $40.00,and i'm not sure it was really worth that much, but I loved how it looks on me. If you have a smaller bust (like myself) this dress can make you look a little more well endowed. ^_~
I really really like this one! It's a bubble dress, and I honestly never thought I would like a bubble dress on me but I love this one. If I ever decide to go out one weekend while I'm at school then I can wear this, or I can pair it with a cute cardigan and its great for classes or going shopping. This one was $34.99.
I got my final grades for the semester today and I am so proud of myself!
I ended up with 5 A's and 1 C.
I honestly thought I was going to end up with quite a few B's, but what do you know, i pulled it off :)
My grades this semester actually show how hard I worked so I'm really happy.
I'm not happy about the C, but that class was RIDICULOUS so oh well, I tried my best and that's all that matters.
Yay me :)
On another note, I voted last Tuesday!
It was my first time ^__^
I was voter #200. Pretty cool huh?
I ended up messing something up on the ballot and voted for one too many people and the machine beeped so i had to push some button on it.
Embarrassing in itself, but even more so considering a guy I graduated with was standing 3 feet away looking at me while it happened. -_-
I did get a cool sticker though!
Two exams down, one to go.
I had my Japanese exam this morning.
Hopefully I did alright. I think I did, so i've got my fingers crossed that I did.
I had some trouble trying to remember which particles go with what... damn particles XP
My Geog107 exam was also today, and it was horrible just like I thought it would be.
I ended up getting a D, which is passing but still.
I put so much effort and time into studying for this exam and my grades don't reflect how much I really try.
It's so frustrating -_-.
And to be honest, the exams are completely unfair.
The test is on a computer and you get 60 random questions out of a pool of questions.
On persons exam could be filled with more of the tougher questions than the person beside them.
I don't think that's fair at all.
Everyone should have the same exam with the same questions, period.
I thought I would do a little better than I did honestly, but what can you...
I got some really tough questions, and I swear some of that stuff wasn't even brought up in class.
Stupid class. Grrr...
But, the good news is --- NO MORE GEOG 107!!!!!!!!!!!!1
YAY! I HATE THAT CLASS. And now it's over :D
I'll get a C in the class, so whatever.
I know I tried my best, so that's all that matters.
I have an Art exam tomorrow, and then I'm leaving to go back home.
Thanks God, because I'm so ready to go.
Today former president Bill Clinton came to WVU in support of his wife.
The campaign was supposed to start at 8:30am, but instead it started at 9:30.
I must say, crowds are very frustrating when you are short.
Being my 5'1" self, I could barely see over anyone.
I just have to say, I love the people who say excuse me to get by you and then end up standing INFRONT of you.
These two older women did it to me. I know you're supposed to respect the elderly, but who wouldn't be frustrated if people taller than you butted in front and made it so that you couldn't see?
THEN, it starts to drizzle and all these people put up their umbrellas near the front.
Personally, I think that's rude. Don't put an umbrella up in a crowd. Not only does it block peoples view, but the rain running off the umbrella pours onto the people around you.
Thankfully, the rain cleared before Bill came out and the sun started to shine.
I was about halfway back from the podium so I had to zoom in with the camera. (Thats why the pics aren't the greatest.)
It was a good experience though.
I'm a Hillary supporter so I was happy to see that at least someone cares about West Virginia.
I ended up skipping my first class to watch him but come on, how many chances do you get to see Bill Clinton in person?
Dead week is upon me and I can already feel its weight.
This week is definitely going to be tough, stressful, and very demanding on my mind and body.
It feels like this will never end.
I have so much to do during a week that's supposed to be reserved for studying.
Instead, I will be fighting myself to make time to study on top of everything that has to be done.
I have 4 papers that need to be revised for Friday.
I have a final paper due Thursday.
I have an exam on Wednesday.
I have an English paper due Friday.
I have to study for two Geography exams.
I have to study for an Art exam.
I have to study for a Japanese exam.
T-T Somebody help me please...
I have to do well on the one geog exam because I have a 75 in the class, which is a C, and I don't want to drop to a D.
The exams in that class are crazy though, so I'm really worried.
Everything just needs to work out... I know it will...
On another note, someone is eating some gross smelling food somewhere near my room.
It smells like old bologna or something, yuck.
Only 9 more days until I'm home!!!!! yay!
No more dorm until August! Yes!
I miss my bed. I could really use it right about now.
So, today I got my package from Everyday Minerals that I ordered!
It actually got here pretty quick, I'm happy :)
I ordered quite a few things, and even got some free gifts too.
I decided to do an un-boxing post ( because I like them).
I think this will be a good reference post for people who are unsure about the item sizes.
I know I didn't really know how big anything was when I ordered, so hopefully you might get some useful info from this.
The packing material to protect everything looks like little worms you make in kindergarten :P
If you ordered over $25 before April 24th, you got a free pressed blush and finishing powder. That's a great deal!
The brown cap is a small sized eyeshadow, while lilac caps are considered a small finishing powder and a small sized blush (2.5g).
The Oasis eyeshadow is very sparkley. I'd say its a light brown color; very pretty. The small size was $2.50.
The Star to Finish Fair was one of the free gifts. I think it's a little too light for me to use.
The Plum Dust blush is really nice. It's a pinky - mauvey color that works well with my skin tone (i'm Fair-Medium). The 2.5g size was $4.00.
This was the other free gift I received. It's a full sized pressed blush. I love the case! It's like a recycled cardboard lacquer thing ( I don't know how to describe it better than that :p)
The All Smiles pressed blush is a very light pink, even a little peachy like a light coral color. It's pretty, but I haven't tried it with foundation on ( I sampled it on my hand) so I don't know how this will look on my face. I like it though! This product isn't for sale on the website yet so I don't know the price.
This is the large sized foundation and retails for $12.00.
These are the cosmetic wet wipes. They only cost $3.75 and you get 80 of them. They smell nice and are organic, which is a big plus.
This is a great brush!!! It's the eyeshadow brush, which costs $5.00. I've been looking everywhere for a good quality brush and this is definitely one. It's also great for applying the powder eyeliner.
Overall It cost me $27 for the products and $5 for shipping, which is great for cosmetics. Hopefully you got an idea of how big all the products are and maybe you'll go order some for yourself. v(^__^)v
Thank You!! ^_^ read more
on Happy Birthday to me!!!
